The Nutrition Label Cheat Sheet

Do you ever find yourself getting confused trying to figure out if a food item is 'healthy?'

I have created a 'Nutrition Label Cheat Sheet' which will show you what to look for on packaged food items so you know which options are healthy.

When you're looking at nutrition labels, they will often have two columns. One column will be titled 'per serve' and the other 'column will be titled 'per 100g.'

The 'per serve' column shows you what you will consume in that product. The serving size is different for every item. It doesn't mean that you have to follow it, it's just what the manufacturer has chosen.

The 'per 100g' column allows you to compare two products. For example, if you have two yogurts and one is 250g with a serving size of 50g and the other is 300g with a serving size of 150g, it's hard to calculate which one has more protein. The 'per 100g' column will enable you to compare the two to see which one has more protein per serve.

Below is the Nutrition Label Cheat Sheet. Feel free to save it and use it next time you're in the supermarket. Enjoy!
