Cutting foods? You might be missing the real problem

A lot of people come to me feeling stuck with their diet — so they start cutting things out. Carbs, sugar, entire food groups... gone.

But here's the thing: in most cases, the issue isn't what you're eating too much of — it's what you're not getting enough of.

Before you cut anything, consider this:

  • Most people aren't eating enough protein to stay full and fuel their goals

  • Fibre is often too low — which affects digestion, hunger, and energy

  • Are you drinking at least 2L of water per day? If not, then this can contribute to cravings

  • Cutting carbs can actually leave you more tired, moody, and craving sugar

  • Sugar isn't always the enemy — it's often a symptom of a lacking diet

The fix? Try adding before subtracting. You'll be surprised how much easier everything feels when your body's actually getting what it needs.
